Qualifications:
1. Senior Category - Male or female, 13 and above.
Junior Category - Male or female, 7 - 12 years old.
2. All cars and parts must be exclusively Tamiya including the Racing, Super, and Fully Cowled series,
the Aero and Mighty series.
The competition allows use of the body cover of the Mechanical series.
Disallowed are the Wild, Comical, Truckin' mini series.
3. Each race participant can register up to a maximum of two (2) cars per Lap Race during the 2000
Season.
4. Motor may be the stock 130 type or any choice from the Tamiya Tune-Up Motor range.
5. Maximum dimension of a car including all parts must be:
Width:
105 mm.
Height:
70 mm.
Length:
155 mm. to 165 mm.
Minimum Weight: 90 gms.
Rollers:
6 (excluding rear skid rollers)
Tire Diameter: 22 mm. up to 35 mm.
Tire Width:
8 mm. up to 26 mm.
6. Any size 'AA' batteries can be used.
7. All cars must pass inspection by the Race Marshals.
8. Cars must be individually recognizable with the model's name featured on the cover.
Stock injection molded and clear bodies must be painted or stickered.
Disqualifications:
On Modifications
1. Motor with external, internal and/or open modification.
2. Revised number of gear teeth, though modification for weight savings is allowed.
3. Use of non-Tamiya Mini 4WD up-grade parts, electronics and battery terminals.
4. Modification of chassis that may expose gear components.
5. Cars that may be a potential hazard to the track or other cars.
6. Add-on scrap-built materials.
On Track or During the Competition
1. Modifying the car and replacement of batteries after impounding.
2. Improper start-up of car before the "go" signal.
3. Car leaping into another lane.
4. Car turning over and stopping inside or outside the race tracks.
5. Body cover of the race car or any part falling off to disrupt the normal run of other car/s.
6. Slowdown creating obstruction to another car by a "car's length".
7. The maximum of two chances to re-race.
8. Displaying non-sportsmanship behavior and grave misconduct.
Conditions for a Re-Race
1. A false start.
2. Simultaneous or consequential car flying out of race tracks.
3. Race disruption from external force or another car's fallen parts. In any case, there are only two (2)
chances to re- race.
Cancellation or Delays
1. A race may be called off due to bad weather or force majeure.
2. Lack of participants may delay/cancel the race.
Declaration of Winner
1. The first car to complete the specified number of laps wins.
2. In case of one (1) remaining car, it must complete the specified number of laps to be declared the
winner.
Point System
A registered racer's car is credited with points corresponding to its performance in the Lap Race, as
follows:
1. First Placer
Ten (10) points
2. Second Placer
Six (6) points
3. Third Placer
Four (4) points
4. Semifinalists
Two (2) points
5. All other registered racers One (1) point
Head Marshal's Note
The Head Marshal's decision shall be considered final and irrevocable.
